When did you last look without criticizing something?

For most of us, it's been years, maybe over a decade. You catch your reflection in a shop window and your eyes go straight to what's "wrong" before you've even registered it's you.

That inner critic never clocks out. She's exhausting. She's been running the same tired script since your thirties, and somewhere along the way you stopped questioning whether she was even telling the truth.

This challenge isn't about silencing her overnight. It's about five days of gently interrupting her, so you can start to see yourself again instead of just scanning for flaws.

What You'll Get

1
Notice Without Judging

Learn to look at your reflection and simply observe, no fixing, no critiquing, just noticing.

2
Separate the Story From the Face

Unpack the old narratives you've attached to your appearance, and see what's actually true.

3
Find One Thing You Actually Like

Retrain your eye to land somewhere kind, even if it feels small or unfamiliar at first.

4
Speak to Yourself Like Someone You Love

Practice the words you'd offer a friend, and start offering them to yourself instead.

5
Write the New Relationship

Put down on paper the relationship you're choosing with your reflection going forward.

This Isn't About Fixing Your Face

I've spent years watching brilliant, accomplished women reduce themselves to a list of flaws every time they pass a mirror. Not because they're vain, but because no one ever taught them another way to look.

This challenge isn't skincare, and it isn't about finding confidence through a new haircut or a different angle. It's about rewiring the actual relationship you have with your reflection, that automatic, split-second judgment that happens before you even think about it.

Five days won't undo decades of habit. But they will show you it's possible to look, and just be there. That's where everything else starts.

The Mirror Challenge Team

Why I Built This Challenge

Toward the end of my first pregnancy, I was rushed in for an emergency C-section. In the middle of everything, I developed facial paralysis, and because of the emergency, I didn't get the chance to treat it in time. By the time I could get help, the muscles in my face were already gone.

I was young, barely a year into marriage, and devastated. I already carried low self-esteem from years of feeling like I wasn't beautiful, wasn't enough. This just confirmed it. I stopped looking at myself in the mirror. I didn't know who I was anymore.

It took years of real, intentional work. Faith, daily journaling, and choosing different inputs for my mind, to find my way back to my own reflection. This challenge is built from that same process. It's not theory. It's what actually brought me home to myself, and I want the same for you.
